What age can I learn to drive

You can start having driving lessons as soon as you are 17 (unless you are registered disabled in which case you can learn at 16) . You must also be able to read a new style number plate from a distance of 20 metres.

 

How long are your driving lessons

Driving lessons can be From 1 hour to 1 and a half or 2 hour driving lessons its totally up to you.

 

How many driving lessons will i need

Its not really possible to say an exact figure, as many factors have to be considered. However most pupils will need 40 hours with a qualified driving instructor and additional private practice, as recommended by the DSA. This is only a ruff estimate to give you an idea. Your driving instructor will asses your ability and will put you forward for your test just as soon as you are ready.

 

Do you teach more than one pupil at a time

No, we only teach on a one to one basis, you will be given your driving instructors undivided attention at all times during your driving lessons. Our aim is to teach you to the highest standard possible so you will be safe driver out on road.

 

How is my progress tracked and assessed

We use our own pupil tracking system and at the end of each lesson your driving instructor will track and log your progress, explaining where you can make improvements to your driving. This also lets you know exactly how well you are progressing.

 

Do you teach Pass Plus

Yes, we will be more than happy to help improve your driving skills further. Pass plus is a great way to continue learning and receive a generous discount from participating insurance companies.

 

Are refresher courses available

We provide refresher courses for anyone who is in need of a qualified instructors support.

 

Help I am struggling to pass my driving test

The main reason people fail the driving test is that they have attempted it too early, ie: they have not taken enough professional tuition, so they do not have the skill or confidence to pass. We will make sure you are ready and feeling confident to pass and be a safe driver for life. If you are struggling, please book an assessment lesson and we will get you back on the right track.

 

Will I be learning in a new car?

Yes, you will be learning in a new Citreon C2, a very easy car to learn to drive in and very easy to operate.Perfect if you have had problems in the past or maybe struggling at the moment.

 

My old instructor never turned up on time if not at all, Are your instructors punctual?

Yes, we will do our best to arrive on time and will always contact you with good notice if a driving lesson needs to be cancelled.

 

My old instructor smoked in the car and used their mobile phone, is this allowed?

No and No, Smoking is band in and company Vehicle as from 1st July 2007 and your driving instructor should never answer a mobile phone during a lesson as they are still in-charge of that vehicle
